Katie played with the PMHA Female Buffaloes during the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons. Katie graduated from Pilot Mound Collegiate Institute in June of 2019. She played a total of 108 games in a Buffalo uniform, scoring 11 goals and finishing the two seasons with 37 points.

Pounder moved on to play with Labanon Valley College in the NCAA Division III. Katie had 4 points through 23 games last season.
