FEMALE ADVANCEMENT – SAVANNAH DOAK

Pilot Mound Hockey Academy is pleased to announce that Female Buffalo, Savannah Doak, has committed to Assiniboine Community College (ACHA) in Brandon, MB for the 2021-22 season. Savannah plans to take Business Administration with a focus on Finances.

Savannah has worn the Yellow and Black with pride over her 3 seasons in Pilot Mound. Before our current Covid season, Savannah has played in 112 games, scoring 6 goals, passed the puck to get herself 13 assists, and has sat in the penalty box for 50 minutes over her career.

The transition to the Cougars program is an opportunity that Savannah sees as a great challenge. She attributes her determination and leadership by example attitude to be her greatest skills that she will bring to the program.

“I liked the size of the school and I had heard good things about the program from past coaches and players” said Doak. “I am most looking forward to developing as a player and creating new friendships”

Head Coach Tony Bertone looks forward to Doak bringing her agility and speed to the program.

“She is a hardworking forward that will be an asset to this year’s team. Her versatility to play Center or the wing is an added bonus to the Cougars.”

Doak has been a member of the Honour Roll since seventh grade all the way into her graduating year. Over the years she has volunteered at the local canteen selling tickets and working the bingo.

A message from PMHA Co-Head Coach, Brad Platt:

“Congratulations Savannah on your recent commitment to ACC in Brandon. Savannah is another one of our three-year PMHA players who has improved tremendously since she got here three years ago. Savannah is a excellent student athlete. Her work ethic is top notch, both on and off the ice. I am very happy with the improvement Savannah has made on the ice. She came here as an energy player, and is now leaving a more complete player. Savannah comes from a very close family and our PMHA family here in Pilot Mound will miss her. Congrats Savannah”

Congratulations Savannah, and best of luck next season!
