MALE ADVANCEMENT – BRETT TATARYN

Pilot Mound Hockey Academy is pleased to announce that three-year male student-athlete, Brett Tataryn, has committed to the OCN Blizzard (Opaskwayak Cree Nation) of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (Junior A) for the 2021-22 season.

Brett played in 139 games in a Buffaloes uniform, finishing his career with 48 goals and 115 points. He also took 199 penalty minutes over the course of 3seasons in Pilot Mound (2018-2021).

A message from PMHA Head Coach, Rick McConnell:

“Brett has been a privilege to coach over the three seasons that he has been at the Pilot Mound Hockey Academy.  He has a strong work ethic and commitment to the game both on and off the ice that has helped him develop into a strong two-way player.

Brett was the captain of our program for the past two seasons, and plays a gritty style of game. He has an excellent shot and has logged a ton of ice time playing in all types of situations. He helped lead our team to the 2020 CSSHL Championship.

I’m confident that Brett will step right in and contribute to the Blizzard right away.  Congratulations Brett, and best of luck with your junior career. The Buffaloes will miss you!”
